State parks’ winter schedule
now
available
|
The State Parks winter schedule is here and some
parks will be closing — either partially or fully — for the
winter. Check to see if your favorite park is open this "off
season."
The good news
You still have lots of opportunities to enjoy state parks in the
winter months. More than 100 parks remain open for camping and
day-use! In the off season, campgrounds are less crowded and more
campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. BONUS:
Most parks offer off-season rates.

Sno-Park Permits available starting Nov. 1
|
Speaking of winter: Do you love winter recreation?
Do you use any of Washington’s Sno-Parks? If so, mark your
calendar for Nov. 1. That’s when Sno-Park permits go on sale! Our
Winter Recreation program staff encourage you to buy permits online to reduce the
risk of COVID-19.
Last year, the Washington State Legislature passed a
bill to simplify the rules regarding Sno-Park permits. As a
result, the Discover Pass is no longer required to accompany the
daily Sno-Park permit in Sno-Parks on State Parks property.
(These areas are Crystal Springs, Easton Reload, Fields Spring,
Hyak, Lake Easton, Lake Wenatchee, Pearrygin Lake and Mount
Spokane).
Snow bikes are also now classified as snowmobiles
and must be registered as snowmobiles, and their operators must
follow snowmobile regulations.
We look forward to seeing you at a Sno-Park this
winter! And please, be sure to #RecreateResponsibly.

Plan your fall getaway
|
Believe it or not
— fall is a great time to go camping around Washington state! You
may have heard that we extended the reservation camping
season at select parks around the state through Nov.
1. The extension of the season at these select parks is in
response to a higher than normal demand for camping at parks
across the state due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This extension includes campsites, cabins and yurts
available at select locations, offering something for every type
of camper. Make
your reservation today, or call (888)
CAMPOUT or (888) 226-7688.
Note: This offer is for 2020 only.
